Ways of Giving

Every gift, large or small, is significant.

Below are the various types of gifts that provide for the students, teachers and staff at Chase Collegiate School.

Annual Gifts
Annual gifts are donations that are made annually to the School. Typically, these gifts are made to the Annual Fund to support ongoing programs and operating expenses. Sometimes, Annual Gifts are restricted by a donor for a specific purpose or for the endowment.

Capital Campaign Gifts
Capital Campaign gifts are donations that support large projects or initiatives, such as construction of a new building or increasing the School's endowment. Capital gifts are made less frequently than annual gifts, and are often 10 to 25 times annual gift.

Planned gifts
These gift options, collectively known as planned gifts, may allow you to provide a much larger gift than you had previously considered-resulting in a partnership with great meaning to you and strong future benefit to the School. Planned gifts include bequests, estate gifts, insurance policies, annuities, charitable trusts and other deferred gift arrangements. Personal financial and charitable objectives will determine the appropriate type of gift. Bequests are often the most popular planned giving vehicle and it is easy to name Chase Collegiate School as a beneficiary.

There are many ways to make a gift to Chase. Please read below to learn more.

Cash
Many gifts made to Chase come in the form of cash. Please make your check payable to Chase Collegiate School and mail to:

Chase Collegiate School

To pay by credit card, please make an online gift or contact the Development Office at 203-236-9550. MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.

Stock
A gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year is frequently the most economical way to give. To make a gift of securities, please follow instructions and notify the Development Office of your gift by calling 203-236-9550 or email mcarleton@chasemail.org.

Pledges
A pledge, typically made over 2-5 years, may allow you to contribute more significantly than you otherwise thought possible, while extending tax advantages over a period of several years. Pledges can be designated to both annual gifts and Cornerstone Campaign Two gifts.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees and their families. A matching gift can double your contribution to the School, and these gifts are credited to your gift and class. Ask your employer for a matching gift form, and mail it to the Development office along with your gift. If your employer provides online forms, complete the form online, and notify the Development Office by calling 203-236-9550 or email mcarleton@chasemail.org.

Commemorative Gifts
A commemorative gift offers family and friends the opportunity to mark a special occasion, recognize a faculty, staff member, or fellow classmate or remember or honor a friend or loved one, while supporting the School.

In-kind Contributions
An in-kind contribution is a non-cash item which can be given a cash value. An in-kind contribution primarily consists of materials, products or services that are provided in support of Chase’s educational mission. These gifts are a crucial part of our overall fundraising strategy as they enable us to stretch our resources further.
