Ultimate Frisbee at Chase is one of the most winningest programs in the history of the school. Head coach, Karl Schwoerke brought the sport to Chase 20 years ago when he arrived to teach math. Since then the sport has taken off and has become a New England powerhouse.
Under the direction of Schwoerke, Chase has won 4 league titles (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) and a New England championship (2007). The program is offered to all upper school students and is co-ed.
"Most of the kids who start playing have never touched a frisbee before," says Schwoerke. "I just like having the kids who have great attitudes and want to work hard and learn a great game."
Chase plays a full schedule of nearly 25 games and even hosts their own Memorial Day Tournament, the Highlander Classic. Chase competes in the New England Prep School Ultimate League (NEPSUL) and the Hudson Valley Athletic League (HVAL).
