Events
The Parents Association hosts a number of events throughout the school year. Listed below are the main events, in the order that they occur throughout the school year.
Grandparents & Special Friends Day
This wonderful day is an opportunity for your children's grandparents, other relatives or close family friends to enjoy a classroom visit and see the children at work and play. Invitations are sent home in mid-September for parents to distribute to grandparents and special friends.
Students will welcome guests to their classrooms and to a performance including the band, chorus and handbells. The day is always filled with sunshine and smiles. Enjoy the slideshow.
Parents' Association Holiday Party
Before you enter the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, join us for the Annual Parents' Association Holiday Party. This evening gives parents, faculty and staff a chance to enjoy each other's company, share good food and good cheer while listening to holiday music in a festive atmosphere. Invitations are mailed in November with a RSVP requested. A nominal fee applies.
Maggie's Follies
Sponsored by the Parents Association, Maggie's Follies began as a no-talent-required talent show and fun night out. Scheduled each year in late January, Maggie's Follies is guaranteed to drive away those mid-winter blahs. This non-competitive variety show for parents and children (yes parents, we said you, too!), is absolutely not to be missed! Rehearsals and performance are in January, though people plan their acts all year.
Teacher Appreciation Day
Packed full of wonderful surprises, the goal of this day is to bring at least one small token of appreciation to each teacher's day.
Occasionally we sponsor one time only events.
If you have suggestions and are willing to run a new program, contact the Parents' Association.
