Reflection from Parents' Association President, Jen Zembruski
One of my favorite movies is "Love, Actually" for sooooo many reasons, one being how 10 different stories about how people and happenings are connected. I feel the very same way about Chase Collegiate School! As a day school from Pre K3 to High School Seniors, we are part of a family the spans decades and communities, and it is so cool "actually" how our stories intertwine. It makes my heart melt to have the opportunity to volunteer with families here at Chase to support our faculty, staff and students.
Community Polar Plunge
With all this snow flying today, the ponds and lakes in Conn. are going to be extra icy ... AND COLD! Sounds like the perfect environment to 'start freezin' for a reason'! Have you heard that our Boys Varsity Basketball Team is participating in a Penguin Plunge on 2/25 in Middletown? To help our Highlanders brace themselves for the icy jump, consider sponsoring our Highlander team here.
Chase kid Jack Cook ('18), the Penguin Plunge team's captain, initiated the group team builder and community outreach this year. Cook is passionate about the Special Olympics Connecticut, where the money raised by our Boys V. team will be donated.
As you know, this is my first year on the Executive Board of the PA - and I would just like to THANK the leadership and committees that connect our divisions - I have learned about so many things and am in AWE of the daily accomplishments!
Snow Days, Snow Days...No School equated into postponed Parents Association Meetings...
So...please check the School calendar for dates of upcoming meetings so that you can catch up in person on our latest plans and activities for your division!
