Could your child benefit from a small school community with big opportunities?
At Chase, we build strong partnerships with parents to make sure children will fit in, be respected and challenged to excel beyond what they ever imagined.
Founded in 1865, Chase is a co-educational, independent day school that educates children from Prekindergarten through grade 12, with a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and a commitment to helping our students achieve their highest goals. Located on a beautiful, stately, 47-acre campus in Waterbury, Connecticut, Chase draws 300-400 students annually from 40 or so Connecticut towns. We are not just a highly regarded school with a celebrated history---we are a multi-age community where students develop true and meaningful relationships with teachers and peers.
Chase believes that an educational program driven by authentic relationships empowers students to excel.
- Student relationships with teachers are true, meaningful and lasting.
- Focus is placed on developing a thoughtful and deliberate educational experience that values and promotes each child to become their best self.
- Students grow by participating in new experiences and taking risks.
- Students engage with their peers to see the value of collaboration.
- Teachers partner with families to help students thrive.
One of bedrocks of a Chase education is public speaking, the most essential leadership skill. We develop confident and articulate stewards of the future. Beginning in PreK, when our youngest students invite “questions or comments” after show and tell, Chase has integrated public speaking into every grade level. As polished public speakers, our students are ready to take the lead and shape the future.
