Carrie Singer, Director of @camp565

Carrie grew up attending Camp Ramah in the Berkshires and worked at Brooks Day Camp during her teenage years.  Before joining @camp565, Carrie was the Director of Staff Development & Training and Assistant Program Director at Camp Pembroke, an all-girls overnight camp in Massachusetts. Before that, she was Assistant Director at Camp Laurelwood in Connecticut where she served in varied capacities including head counselor, office manager, staff recruitment, and staff training & development.  Carrie holds degrees from Brandeis University and Hebrew College and has been an educator for well over 20 years.  Carrie lives in Connecticut with her husband Eugene and campers/daughters Michelle and Mia.

Heidi Golovin is @camp565’s new Assistant Director. Heidi has been a school psychologist for 28 years and has worked in Jewish overnight camping for 12 years as a camp psychologist and general camp support staff. Heidi looks forward to working closely with the counselors, parents, and campers to ensure that all children attending @camp565 have a happy and successful camp experience. She lives in Florida and enjoys running and spending time with her family.

Hi I'm Abby! I'm the new Arts & Crafts Counselor here @camp565. I'm from Sandy Hook and a sophomore at The University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. I'm studying Occupational Therapy and I love it because I get to help people! I am passionate about art, writing, hiking, running and anything creative! I'm super excited to be a part of the @camp565 team and can't wait to create all kinds of art with your kids!

Welcome to camp!! I’m Catria, a freshman studying neuroscience at Colgate University. I am a Chase Collegiate School graduate and this summer I will be @camp565’s returning Group 1 Counselor and also the Before-Camp Care specialist. As a longtime lover of camp and all things fun and silly, I’m so excited for all of our adventures this summer. I can’t wait to meet you!

I’m Maddie. I graduated from Chase Collegiate School and currently attend Springfield College. In the fall, I will be a junior in the Communication Sciences and Disorders major and Rehabilitation Studies minor. I plan on attending graduate school in order to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. This will be my second summer as the Group 3 Counselor with the 10-12 age group. I am most excited to spend another amazing summer with a great group of kids and staff and help make @camp565 magical.

My name is Jared, I am a junior at Marist College double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Some of my interests are golfing, snowboarding, and doing anything outside. This will be my second summer working at @camp565 and my role this summer will be the Nature/Group Games/Adventure Specialist counselor. I will also be running the After-Camp care and look forward to meeting all of the campers and having a blast this summer!

My name is Jason and I am a student at Xavier University Class of 2020. I am a Chase Collegiate School graduate from the class of 2016. I participate in many clubs such as a Xavier Tour Guide and Club Lacrosse player. I am from Watertown, CT and love playing, watching, and talking about all sports. I also love cuddling with puppies and long walks on the beach. This is my second summer as the Sports Specialist and I am very excited for @camp565 and another amazing season of fun!

My full name is Alexander Joelle, everyone calls me AJ for short. I graduated from Chase Collegiate School in 2014. During my high school experience I played Soccer, Basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee along with being a member to the Spanish Club. I currently am a junior in the Athletic Training program at Springfield College in Massachusetts. In my free time I enjoy photography, playing sports, and traveling. I look forward to being a part of the @camp565 staff this summer and provide the campers with an extremely valuable summer experience.

My name is Delecia and this will be my second summer @camp565 as the Music/Dance/Theater counselor. I am a Music Major at Western Connecticut State University (Voice Concentration) and have over 15 years of training in dance and Music. I am studying to become a trained choreographer and music teacher. I am so excited to teach performing arts with all the campers. It’s going to be an awesome summer!
