2019 Boys Cross Country wins the New England Championship!
Chase Collegiate Boys Cross Country came in 1st out of 27 teams at NEPSAC New England Championships DIV IV at Hebron Academy in Oxford, Maine. Led by Ethan Puc who captured his second straight New England title. Chase placed two runners in the top 10; Ethan Puc 1st, Rafael Mahario 8th, earning them both All-New England recognition. Tommy Lapham 29th, Colby Calabrese 32nd, Jamal Clarke 69th were Chase’s other scores. Chase’s victory was led by the narrowest of margins with the first four teams finishing within 10 points of each other and Chase defeated Dexter Southfield by only two points. This meet was the culmination of a history season where Chase captured the Waterbury City Championship, the HVAL Championship and for the first time in Chase Collegiate School history the NEPSAC New England Championship! Other Chase Varsity finishers included Ethan Harte 104th, Tim Xu 144th. In the JV race Adam Retallick 18th, Colton Harte 19th, and Casey Denihan 36th. The Top 5 Varsity team results are 1st Chase Collegiate 121, 2nd Dexter Southfield 123, 3rd Beaver 128, 4th Dublin 131, and 5th Christian Heritage 158.
