Students develop musical literacy through a variety of rhythm and note-reading activities. School concerts in the winter and spring give students experience performing before an audience and prepare them for evening concerts and community engagements. Qualified students participate in state and regional competitions.
Choral students analyze, rehearse, and perform a wide range of choral pieces. The chorus appears in a variety of performances throughout the year and exchange concerts with other area schools. They also participate in workshops enhancing vocal techniques, making this a highly visible and active chorus program.
