Another special feature of your Chase Upper School education is the Capstone Project, which presents the opportunity for selected, qualified seniors to complete independent work on an original, cross-curricular project of their own design. With passion and curiosity, students tackle a topic that truly piques their interest, and the results are outstanding. Students conduct their research both on and off campus, and this includes tapping the expertise of noted specialists in their field. To apply, students must demonstrate academic excellence and independence in coursework through the fall semester of junior year. A minimum cumulative GPA of 88 is required for application. Our Project applicants also must present examples of successful independent long-term project work.
A Capstone Project will be included on a student’s transcript and be awarded one full elective credit, will receive a numerical grade each quarter, and will be computed in a student’s GPA.
