Independent Study Projects
Continuing with Chase’s theme of promoting student-centered, independent learning, students in our Upper School also have the opportunity to work with a faculty mentor to create an Independent Study Project (ISP). The ISP program is specifically tailored so that each student can pursue a topic that inspires and excites their imagination, outside the boundaries of the regular curriculum.
Proposals are reviewed by the Head of Upper School, and credit is awarded on the basis of the scale of the project. As the culmination of the project, student participants prepare some form of public exposition of their work.
