Affording a Chase Education

Chase seeks to enroll academically talented students who are motivated to participate in our school community. Once a student is admitted, the Financial Aid Committee reviews applications for tuition assistance.

Scholarships and Grants

Chase is able to offer generous scholarships and grants to student scholars who are able to show demonstrated success in academics, and one of the following areas: leadership, artistic (performing or visual), or athletic ability. Contact Paige Fischer at 203-236-9561 or paige.fischer@chasemail.org for more information.

Financial Aid

Financial Assistance award notifications will be sent out with admission decision packets. Please call 203-236-9560 to inquire.

How to Apply

All families applying for financial assistance must complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) online here. Our school code is 6718.

Financial Assistance is based on the Report of Family Contribution (RFC) generated by SSS and meets a percentage of need as estimated in the RFC. We require the online filing of the PFS form for the quickest, most accurate completion of the financial aid application.  Families are also encouraged to complete and file their tax returns as close to the February 1 financial assistance priority deadline.  If you file the PFS using estimated figures, the School reserves the right to adjust your financial assistance grant upon receipt of tax returns as filed with the IRS.

All financial information is kept strictly confidential and we expect families receiving financial assistance to respect the confidentiality of the process.

While the School assumes that parents have an obligation to finance their children's education to the extent they are able, we award $2.0 million in financial assistance to the student population. The School is not able to meet the full, demonstrated need of any family, and asks every family to stretch beyond their perceived need.

Assistance ranges from a few hundred dollars to a significant percentage of need, and grants are based on financial information filed with School and Student Services by NAIS (SSS). A financial assistance grant reduces a family's obligation to the School and does not need to be repaid. Some families use a multi-generational approach to meeting the demands of tuition, with grandparents and other family members giving assistance.

Russell Scholarship

The Russell Scholarship is available to students currently in Grades 5 and 6 who are intellectually curious, motivated, and resourceful.  They must demonstrate academic strength, respectfulness, and kindness as well as a desire to serve the community through active citizenship.  The recipients are identified by members of the Admissions Committee and there is no additional application for this scholarship.  For more information about our Middle School, click here.
