School-wide Communication Interrruption: June 16 through June 18
Posted 06/15/2015 08:54PM

Communications to Chase will be interrupted
on June 16, 17 & 18, 2015

As part of the year-long work to prepare for the 1-1 iPad initiative* for the 15-16 school year, the Tech Department will be doing some major upgrades to the Chase Network on June 16, 17, & 18.

During that time key, communication systems will be offline as the work is being completed. Systems affected include computer, phone, and all internet connections to and from campus. While email systems will remain online, access from campus will not be possible. We are working hard to minimize the interruption, but please plan accordingly, since communication on campus during those three days will be halted.

* In the spring of 2014, Chase announced its decision to implement a 1:1 iPad program. The hallmark of a formalized 1:1 program is professional development and support for faculty implementation. This took place during the 14-15 school year, with teachers experimenting and learning about the broad use of iPads in their classrooms.

Beginning in September 2015, all Chase students in grades six through twelve will be required to have a personal iPad as part of their matriculation.
