Weekly All School Bulletin
The role of Mama Rose will be played by Thomaston resident Veronica Johnson ’18, while Louise and Baby June will be played by Kathleen Green ’19 of Woodbury and Kennedy Morris ’21 of Morris. The role of Tulsa will be played by Joseph Leszczynski ’19 of Easton, and Sandy Hook resident Caelan Gadwah-Meaden ’18 will play Herbie, Rose’s manager.
The ensemble cast includes: Maggie McGuire ’20, Samantha Austin ’18, Olivia Deveau ’19, Michael Nejaime ’18, John Auerbach ’19, Braeden Rose ’21, Trey Atkins ’18, Daniel Nejaime ’19, Layne Carter ’18, Garrett Fisher ’21, Fiona Ma ’20, Isabella Kopecky ’20, Phoebe DeRiu-Crowley ’20, and Angelene Guglielmo ’19.
GYPSY will feature a live pit band comprised of four students playing alongside five professional musicians. The orchestra will be conducted by Chase Private Music Lessons piano instructor, Holly McCann. Chase’s Arts faculty have guided Upper School students through all aspects of producing the show: performance, technical, musical, and promotional.
In addition to the two weekend shows, there will be a shortened performance of GYPSY on Friday, April 20th as part of the inaugural Arts Day at Chase. Arts Day is a day-long arts festival with performances, exhibits, and workshops aimed to engage the entire Chase community in the Arts at Chase.
